A Lamborghini carbon steering wheel is not something you pick from a generic catalog: every model in the lineup has its own steering wheel base, its own controls and its own character. The Huracán, Urus, Aventador and Gallardo each have a dedicated reference at Atelier OEM+, always built on the original factory base. Here is how to identify yours and which finishes suit each car best.

Why a Lamborghini carbon steering wheel is chosen model by model

On a Lamborghini, the steering wheel is far more than a rim. It carries the bull emblem airbag cover, the spoke controls and, depending on the generation, part of the driving functions. So we keep the original steering wheel of your model and rework what you see and what you touch: the rim, the carbon parts, the covering of the grip zones and the airbag cover. The steering wheel controls stay those of your car, integrated exactly as before. This OEM base principle is what guarantees a clean fit and correct operation, as we explain in our article on the essential role of the OEM base.

Huracán: the steering wheel that gathers the controls

With the Huracán, Lamborghini moved functions usually found on stalks onto the steering wheel: turn signals, wipers, high beam flash, plus the drive mode selector at the bottom of the spoke. Our custom carbon steering wheel for the Huracán LP580, LP610, EVO and STO keeps all of these controls in place. Alcantara is a very consistent choice here: it gives a firm grip when you link corners together and echoes the track spirit of the most radical versions. A colored centering stripe at the top of the rim completes the look.

Aventador: a carbon steering wheel for the V12

The Aventador, from the LP700-4 to the SVJ, calls for a bolder finish. On the custom carbon steering wheel for the Aventador, twill carbon covers the top and bottom of the rim as well as the spoke base, while perforated leather wraps the areas where your hands rest. The contrast between the glossy carbon weave and the matte grain of the leather gives the cabin a lot of depth, without touching the original spoke buttons.

Gallardo: bringing character back to an icon

The Gallardo, Spyder and Superleggera included, often has more than fifteen years of service behind it. Its original steering wheel shows its age, especially on the grip zones. The custom carbon steering wheel for the Gallardo gives it a second life without betraying its design: carbon on the top and bottom of the rim, perforated leather on the sides and a reworked airbag cover. For a car you want to keep in a period spirit, twill carbon remains the most faithful choice; if you are torn with forged carbon, our comparison twill carbon or forged carbon will help you decide.

Urus: a Lamborghini carbon steering wheel for everyday driving

The Urus, in standard, S or Performante form, is the Lamborghini you drive every day. Its steering wheel must therefore stay comfortable on long journeys. On the custom carbon steering wheel for the Urus, a carbon top section and a yellow centering stripe bring the sporty touch, while smooth or perforated leather on the sides keeps it comfortable. The spoke controls and the bull emblem airbag cover stay firmly in place.

Which options should you favor for your use?

For track or very sporty driving, Alcantara and a clearly visible centering stripe are the most useful. For road use, perforated leather ages very well and needs little care. Twill carbon suits classic cabins, forged carbon more modern configurations. Finally, think about matching the stitching color to your upholstery: it is a detail, but it is what makes the part look factory fitted.
