Custom carbon steering wheel for Volkswagen Golf 7 / Polo 6 (2015-2024), made to order in our workshop. We start from a new base identical to the manufacturer's: airbag, steering wheel controls and paddles stay compatible, and your original wheel stays on your car during production.
What you can configure for this model
- Steering wheel shape: round or flat-bottom
- Side grips: perforated leather, smooth leather or Alcantara (up to 13 colours)
- Top and bottom inserts: carbon (9 colours), forged carbon (7 colours), Alcantara (13 colours) or leather (13 colours)
- Stitching: 12 colours to choose from
- 12 o'clock marker: 15 colour choices
- Airbag cover: black stitched leather, black Alcantara or grey Alcantara
- Shift paddles: carbon, lightweight carbon or forged carbon
- ShiftLED (gear shift indicator light) available as an option
- Button surrounds: aluminium, gloss black, black forged carbon, red forged carbon or blue forged carbon
- Logo: GTI, R, GTE, GTD or R-LINE
- R8 style buttons available as an option
- Heated steering wheel: the option is taken into account in your order
- Complete steering wheel pack available as an option (steering wheel controls, paddle electronics, complete airbag)

To ensure your order is perfectly suited to your vehicle, please check your current equipment. This steering wheel can be mechanically installed on the following previous generation Volkswagen models:
Golf 7 and 7.5 (MK7 / MK7.5), including GTI, GTD, GTE, and R trims
Polo 6 (AW Phase 1), including GTI trim
T-Roc (Phase 1), including R-Line trim
Tiguan II (Phase 1), including R-Line trim
Arteon (Phase 1), including R-Line trim
Passat (B8 Phase 1), including R-Line trim
How to choose your option when ordering?
Unlike the new generation, these models were sold with two different types of airbags depending on your vehicle's base trim. It is crucial to check your current format:
If you already have a Sport steering wheel (GTI, R, R-Line) with a ROUND airbag: Bare steering wheel purchase: You can keep and reuse your round airbag and original cover to reinstall them directly onto the new carbon steering wheel.
If you have a standard steering wheel with a "shield" airbag (wider/trapezoidal): Your original airbag will not fit into this sport flat-bottom steering wheel. You must absolutely select the option that includes a new round airbag.
Airbag cover option: Regardless of your situation, you have the option to add a new personalized airbag cover to your order if you wish to further enhance your interior.
Important warning about steering wheel controls (Upgrade): If your vehicle does not have original steering wheel controls, or if it is equipped with a different button version, you can technically order the package including new controls. However, we do not guarantee the compatibility or functionality of these buttons for an upgrade (aftermarket installation). Any electronic modification, harness change, or coding attempt (VCDS/OBD11) will be entirely at your expense and responsibility.

Airbag cover option: You have the option to add a new airbag cover to your order if you wish to further personalize your interior.

How to make a warranty claim

Receiving the steering wheel
Inspect the steering wheel on delivery. The warranty takes effect upon receipt.

Professional installation
Have the steering wheel fitted by a professional and keep the installation invoice.

Presenting the invoice
No deadline to meet: the invoice will only be requested in the event of a claim.

Warranty activated
Your warranty is automatically recognized upon presentation of the invoice.
What the warranty does not cover
The Atelier OEM+ warranty covers original defects. It does not replace respectful use of the product or a proper installation.
Normal wearGradual degradation of the leather, Alcantara or carbon linked to daily use.
Improper installationAny damage caused by a fitting not carried out by a professional, or without an invoice.
Accident or impactPhysical impact, deployed airbag, fall or external damage.
Modifications after deliveryAny intervention by a third party not authorized by Atelier OEM+ voids the warranty.
