A Mercedes carbon steering wheel is chosen first by your car's chassis code: W204, W205, W206 or W177. Each of our four Mercedes references is built on the original manufacturer OEM base of one specific generation, with its airbag module and steering wheel controls. Once that base is identified, all that is left is to decide on the carbon, the grip material and the stitching.
At Mercedes, a C Class is not a single car: the W204, the W205 and the W206 each have a different steering wheel, and that wheel is shared with other models from the same period. An E Class W213 and a first series GLC therefore get the same design as a C Class W205. Since we keep your original base, that base decides which product page is the right one. The GLC shows the trap well: depending on whether it is the facelift or not, its steering wheel does not belong to the same reference. So compare the design of your steering wheel with the photos on each product page before ordering.
The custom carbon steering wheel for the Mercedes C Class W204, E Class W212 and S Class W221 also covers the ML W164. The buttons stay on the spokes, in their original position, and twill carbon dresses the rim. For the grips, Alcantara and perforated leather are offered, and the airbag cover can also be done in Alcantara with contrast stitching.
This is the most requested generation. Our custom carbon steering wheel for the Mercedes C Class W205, E Class W213 and GLC can be configured with a carbon rim, Alcantara or perforated leather grips, a flat bottom and contrast stitching. If you want to carry the theme all the way to the center of the wheel, the custom airbag cover for the W205, W213 and GLC comes in black leather, black Alcantara or gray Alcantara, with thirteen stitching colors.
On the latest generation, the original silver lower spoke stays visible and framed by the rim. The custom carbon steering wheel for the Mercedes C Class W206, E Class W214 and S Class W223 is especially well suited to forged carbon, whose irregular flakes contrast with the brushed metal. The grips are made in leather or perforated leather.
The brand's compact models share a steering wheel with a slimmer design. With the custom carbon steering wheel for the Mercedes A Class W177, CLA and GLC, you combine twill carbon, leather and Alcantara, and the stitching color can echo the badge on the lower spoke for a very consistent result.
Twill carbon offers a regular, understated pattern that blends with the factory trim of most Mercedes interiors. Forged carbon draws more attention and suits AMG versions or dark interiors well. We explain their differences in our guide twill carbon or forged carbon. As for grip, Alcantara brings a very sporty hold, while perforated leather needs less care day to day.
To go further, the magnetic braided carbon paddles for Mercedes are ordered with a square or triangular mount and the color of your choice. Check their compatibility with your car in the dedicated tab on the product page.
